David Molina Gadea is an Artistic Photographer based in Barcelona with studies in Applied Arts (2009-2012) and Editorial Design (2020-2022) from the Massana School of Art and Design in Barcelona. Moreover, he has participated at the Klavdij Sluban Masterklass (2018-2019).

His work establishes itself where the language meets the form. By means of the photographic apparatus that fixes the tensions existing between the real, and everything that we can’t name yet seems to be laying somewhere between the perceptible image, and the meaning we give to it.

He has dedicated his time rambling around Western and Eastern Europe, Southern Caucasus and Northern Africa, taking part in social and educational initiatives, camera at hand. These experiences gave raise to works such as:

1—“The Long Way Home”: published in the British Journal of Photography’s September 2016 issue and  exhibited at the Holburne Museum in Bath, UK.
2—“The human apart”: exhibited at the City University of New York.
3—“Go to become”: published in 2018 by the slovenian book publisher “The angry bat”
and finalist of the 2018 Emerging photographer fund of Burn Magazine.
4—“Before the scaffolds” now “/mu:n/“: finalist of the 2018 Gomma grant and winner of the 2020 Gomma Grant Best black & white work.
5—“El camino vertical” a long-term walking project to some of the oldest pilgrimage routes
in Europe.

With a passion for artistic expression and design, David is converged between his own photographic practice, His work as Artistic Director at LA NUU Photography Festival in Rubi, Barcelona, and His studies in Editorial Design.
